Beyond Labz is a virtual Science lab platform that allows users to run virtual experiments. This software is installed in select ITC lab computers.
It is accessible by logging with the libtemp account credentials for the day. The libtemp account credentials can be requested from any Library staff on duty.
To use Beyond Labz, please follow the steps outlined below:
1. Once logged in with the libtemp account, double-click on the Beyond Labz Connect icon.
Note: Nothing will seem to happen when you do this; this procedure simply runs a background process that is needed to facilitate the connection of the desktop to Beyond Labz' servers. A blue Beyond Labz Connect icon will appear in the system tray.
2. From the desktop, double-click on the Beyond Labz portal icon. The student must login with their won Beyond Labz credentials. once logged in, the window can be minimized.
3. From the desktop, double-click on the Virtual Chemistry icon.
Troubleshooting:
Beyond Labz Connect icon is missing:
From the Program Files(x86) folder, go to the Beyond Labz Connect folder . Right-click create on the Beyond Labz Connect application, and create a shortcut to the desktop.
Beyond Labz portal Internet shortcut is missing:
From the Program Files(x86) folder, go to the Beyond Labz Connect folder and copy the Internet shortcut for Beyond Labz to the desktop.
Virtual Chemistry icon is missing:
From the Program Files(x86) folder, go to the Beyond Labz folder. Right-click on the Virtual Chemistry application and create a shortcut to the desktop.
